1. What do you mean by ‘Synergy’? As a production and operations
manager how do you bring synergistic effect in your organization?
2. Explain the steps in Value Analysis.
3. Discuss the factors influencing the location of facilities.
4.a) Explain the relation between the sales forecast and aggregate
planning.
b) Explain chase demand strategy.
5. Tasks A through I have the predecessor and time requirements
shown in table. Output is to be 200 units/day and operating time
is 450 min/day. Using any one heuristic technique group the
tasks into work centers and compute the balance delay and idle
time.
