2008 Himachal Pradesh State PSYCHOLOGY (Theory) Question paper

Attempt any five questions. Answers should be brief and to the point.
1. Define intelligence. How intelligence can be assessed. Differentiate between
different types of intelligence tests?
2. What do you mean by personality ? Explain the type and trait approach in the
study of personality.
3. Are the leaders born or made? Explain the various functions of a leader.
4. What is an attitude and its components. How attitudes are acquired and maintained.
Is it possible to change once formed attitudes? Explain.
5. Explain the nature, sources and types of stress. What are the different ways to cope with stress?
6. "Abnormality is a deviation from normality." Explain. What are the causal factors of abnormality? Describe the basic nature of therapies and therapeutic process.
7. Write short notes on any two of the following:-
(a) Promoting pro-environmental behaviours.
(b) Types of organisational structures.
(c) Gender discrimination. (d) Ethics of counselling.
