PART - A

Answer any 10 questions. Each carries 2 marks. (10x2=20)

1. a) What are the requisites of a good average ?
b) State any four limitations of Statistics.
c) What is a Pie-chart ? Under what circumstances it is used ?
d) State the utilities of Time series.
e) Co-efficient of variation of a series is 58% and its standard deviation is 21.2. Find mean.
f) List out the merits of Mode.
g) What are the uses of Index Numbers ?
h) Define the term "Regression".
i) What are limitations of Bar diagrams ?
j) A student calculated the regression co-efficient of x on y as - 1.25 and regression co-efficient of y on x as - 2.40. Comment on his calculation.
k) What is a base year ?
l) Find the modal value from the following data :
