2. Explain how a multimeter is used for measuring different ranges of voltage.
3. Write the major components used in function generators.
4. What are the applications of wave analyzer?
5. Enumerate any two advantage of digital CRO over storage oscilloscope.
6. Mention the demerits of General Purpose CRO.
7. What are the disadvantages of digital voltmeter when compared to analog?
8. Explain the principle involved in digital frequency meter.
9. Mention the major components used in magnetic tape recorder.
10. What are the merits of Bar graph display?

11.(a) (i) describe the principle and construction of electrodynamometer type watt meter with clear sketch. (8)
(ii) Explain in detail the vector impedance mater with necessary diagram. (8)

(b) (i)Elaborate Q-meter with neat sketch and mention the applications. (8)
(ii) Explain how a single instrument is used for measuring different components with relevant diagram. (8)
12.(a)(i) explain the frequency synthesized sine wave generator with necessary sketch.(8)

13.(a) describe the principle and working of general purpose oscilloscope with diagram and also mention the merits ,demerits with application. (16)

(ii) Draw and explain the sampling oscilloscope in detail. (8)
14.(a) (i) explain how the phase difference is measured using digital technique with clear diagram. (8)
(ii) Describe the principle and working of any one type of digital voltmeter with relevant sketch. (8)

(b)Discuss the microprocessor based multimeter in detail and mention the merits and demerits with application. (16)
15.(a) compare seven segmental display with dot matrix display on various aspects and enumerate the merits and demerits individually. (16)
