(ii) The mean height' of students in the x class of a
school is found to be 68.22 inches with a variance of
10'8 inches. If there are 1000 students in the
class, how many of them are expected to be over
72 inches ? You are told that heights are normally
distributed and given a value 0 < z I 1. lb : 0.37 49.
What are the important techniques of survey used for
primary data collection ? Discuss the steps you would like
to follow for data collection through questionnaire method.
(i) Give an intuitive interpretation of Bay's theorem of
probability. State and prove the theorem.
(ii) If you draw a card from a pack of 52 cards, find the
probability that it is (a) an ace, (b) an ace given that it
is a red card.
