MS3 (S) : ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT
Time: 3 hours
Maximum Marks: 100
(Weightage 70%)
Note : (i) There are two Sections A and B.
(ii) Attempt ony three questions from Section A, carrying 20 marks each.
(iii) Section B is compulsary and carries 40 marks.
SECTION A
1. Describe the critical elements oI politico-legal environment of business. Explain briefly the impact of this environment on business organisations, citing relevant examples. (20)
2. While examining the institutional framework for small scale industries (SSI), comment on their contribution to Indian economic development. (20)
3. Critically analyse the achievements and adverse effects of regulatory framework in the course of lndia'sindustrialisation. (20)
4. Analyse the trade policy reforms implemented by lndia in the 90s. What are its implications in enhancing Indias competitiveness in the international market ? (20)
5. Bring out the distinguishing features of Industrial Policy 1991 and its impact on the technology status of Indian industry. (20)
SECTION B
6. Briefly describe the lndian financial system and analyse the significance and need for financial reforms. (20)
7. Write short notes on any two of the following : (20)
(a) Environment Movement
(b) lndustrial Growth Experience
(c) Current Account Convertibility
(d) Economic Reforms and Employment
