SECTION - A (5 × 8 = 40)
Answer any FIVE questions
in about 300 words each.
Each question carries EIGHT marks.
1. Bring out the relation between society and
state.
2. Make a distinction between politics and
political science.
3. Explain the various kinds of equality.
4. Bring out the arguments against universal adult
suffrage.
5. Define Liberty. And classify liberty.
6. Analyse the important features of secular state.
7. Explain the characteristics of a good
Constitution.
8. Examine the arguments in favour of
individualism.
SECTION - B (3 × 20 = 60)
Answer any THREE questions
in about 1,200 words each.
Each question carries TWENTY marks.
9. Bring out the meaning, nature and scope of
political science.
10. Explain the features of the concept of 'general
will' of Rousseau.
11. 'The theory of separation of powers occupies
an important place in the study of political
science'. - Elucidate.
12. Examine the features of a welfare state.
13. Point out the features of totalitarianism.
