ployees and compute their gross salary. The gross salary should be computed
using the following formula.
Grosssalary = basic salary + DA + HRA [8M]
5. Find a root which lies between 1 and 2 of f(x) = x3+2x2 +10x-20 using Newton
Raphson and Regular Falsi method. Compare the results. [16M]
6. (a) Solve the following equations using Gauss- Jordan method. [8M]

(b) Write an algorithm for Gauss - Jordan method. [8M]
7. (a) Derive the formula to estimate the polynomial of degree n using Lagrange
interpolation method. [7M]
