Business Communication (Part - B)

Time : 1 ½ hours Ma. Marks : 45

SECTION - A

1. Answer subquestion (a) and any seven subquestions of the remaining within 4 lines each.

a) What is a ‘Reference line’ ?
b) What are C.O.D and C.W.O. ?
c) What is a Solicited enquiry ?
d) What is two way communication ?
e) What is Bank reference ?
f) What is Cash Credit ?
g) State any four instances of writing circulars.
h) State the points to be considered in a Quotation.
i) State any four instances when Complaint letter is written.
j) State the benefits of Provident Fund to employees. (1+7x2=15)

SECTION - B

Answer any two questions from this section. Each question carries 15 marks.

2. Illustrate and explain various parts of a business letter by writing a letter of enquiry with imaginary details.

3. Write a letter to your banker requesting him to take up the reference with Canara Bank, Town Hall Branch, J.C. Road, Bangalore - 2. with regard to their customers M/s. Sweet Memories Service Agencies who have approached you for a credit of Rs. 5 lakh.

4. Draft a suitable reply to a complaint received by you from Fresh Cool Oil Agency, regarding the receipts of damaged goods received by them in the consignment sent by you.

5. As the Managing Partner of PEEP-IN-KITCHEN Appliances, draft a suitable sales letter addressed to your well wishers (customer / dealers) regarding features of ‘Asaan Safai’ a new model dish washers, proposed to be released by you in the market on Vijaya Dashami Day. (15x2=30)
