(b) Write a Java program to find the sum of all elements in the one dimensional
array. (Define a class representing array with necessary data members and a

2. (a) What is a class ? How does it accomplish data hiding ? [6]
(b) Explain the difference between an object and a class. [6]
(c) What is a constructor ? what are its special properties ? [4]
3. (a) Distinguish between the following terms.
i. Data abstraction and Data encapsulation [3]
ii. Inheritanace and Polymorphism. [3]
iii. Dynamic binding and Message passing [4]
(b) How are data and methods organised in OOP paradigm. [3]
(c) How will you select a programming for a particular project ? [3]
4. Write a java program to create frame with two button called father and mother.
When he click the father button the name of the father, his age and designation
must appear. When you click mother similar detail of mother appears. [16]
5. (a) Explain the class hierarchy of various window types. [8]
(b) Write down any event generators. [8]
6. Write an applet program to demonstrate the drawing of line, circle, oval rectangle
and 3D rectangle. [16]
7. Explain with simple examples, various ways of controlling threads? [16]
8. Write a Java program that enables to copy a text file to the destination file. Use
buffered streams. [16]
