conductance. [16]
2. (a) Explain about the polarographic method of estimation of dissolved oxygen.
(b) Give the application for polarographic oxygen analyzer. [10+6]
3. Compare and list out the merits and demerits of non-dispersive infrared analyzer
over gas chromatography in carbon monoxide estimation. [16]
4. (a) With neat sketches, explain with detail Helium Ionization detector used in
process gas chromatography system.
(b) Compare & contrast Liquid chromatography with Process gas chromatogra-
phy? [8+8]
5. Briefly explain absorption and interference filters Compare between grating and
prism monochromators. [16]
6. (a) What is a filter? Mention the two types of filters generally used?
(b) Explain briefly Absorption type of filter with a colorimetric setup. [6+10]
7. With neat block diagram, explain about the constructional details of NMR spec-
trometer. [16]
8. Explain the constructional details and principle of operation of
