1. (a) What is the significance of productivity in an Industry?
(b) Explain various methods of raising Productivity? [6+10]
2. Describe the importance of method study and discuss the following tools used for
the purpose

3. (a) What do you understand by “work measurement“?
(b) Seventy-five samples of a production cycle gave an average time of 5.28 min/piece.
The performance rating was estimated as 110% and allowances are 25% of the

4. (a) Define ergonomics and what are all its objectives ?

5. (a) Explain the applications of network planning techniques in Industrial Engi-

wage scheme could be installed

8. (a) Give an account of the various types of personal protective devices and the
clothing which are used by workmen in industry with neat sketch.
