2. Describe the following:
(a) Network Operating System

(c) Distributed Operation System
3. (a) What is the basic philosophy of? How is it different Form rest of GUIs? Discuss.
(b) Explain the relevance of regular grammar to lexical analysis with an examples.
4. (a) Explain the Hardware Support for paging and Segmentations.
(b) What are condition that characterize deadlock? Explain the Occurrence and Avoidance of dead lock graphically among 3 process and 3 resources.
5. (a) Write short notes on:
(i) SCAN Scheduling
(ii) Linked list disk space management method
(iii) Virtual Memory
(iv) Demand paging
6. (a) List the UNIX command to do the following:

(b) Write the syntax for the following looping constructs that are available in the bourn shell with a suitable.
