DISTANCE EDUCATION
P.G.D.C.A. EXAMINATION, DECEMBER 2007.
C++ AND MS-OFFICE
(2000 batch)
Time : Three hours Maximum : 100 marks
1. Answer TWO questions choosing ONE from C++
and another from MS-OFFICE.
2. Each question carry 50 marks.
3. Questions are to be selected by the examiner for
each candidate.
4. Write algorithm and draw flowchart.
C++ QUESTIONS
1. Write a C++ program to defined a friend function for two classes, one contains student's mark details and another contains address details, to access both details and print them in good format.
2. Write a C++ program to show how an unary minus operator can be overloaded by a member function.
3. Write a C++ program to demonstrate how a member function can be overloaded to perform different arithmetic operation.
4. One class contains a person's income details, another one contains the expenditure details in monthwise, now write a program to derive a new class from both to calculate print balance details in monthwise.
5. Write a file program to read n lines and to find out the number of vowels in the lines.
MS-OFFICE QUESTIONS
6. Demonstrate mail merge facility.
7. Create a worksheet to store different categories of electricity consumers' details and calculate EB bill amount in category-wise (give different unit rate for different category).
8. Create a worksheet to store a company's ten year income and expenditure details, calculate the profit and draw a column chart based on profit.
9. Create a database in MS-access to store students' mark details and perform the following :
(a) Calculate Total, Average mark
(b) Show only passed students
(c) Arrange/order the records in Total markwise.
10. Prepare a slideshow with excellent display for to demonstrate a company's present activities, future plans and company's growth details.
