1.What are the consequences of a breach of contract?

2.What are the rights of indemnity-holder?

3.What are the points of distinction between a sale and an agreement to sell?

4.Bring out the differences between dissolution of partnership and dissolution of firm.

5.What are the important characteristics of a joint stock company?

6.What are the principles governing the application of Stamp Duty Act to instruments?

7.Who can present documents for registration?

8.What are object of the Registration Act 1908?

9.State briefly the cases in which limitation is suspended.


PART B — (5 x 14 = 70 marks)
Answer any FIVE questions.
Each answer need not exceed 3 pages.

10.What are quasi-contracts? Enumerate the quasi-contracts dealt with under the Contract Act.

11.Discuss the rights and duties of the buyer under the Sale of Goods Act.

12.Enumerate briefly the rights and duties of a partner.

13.What are the usual contents of the Articles of Association? Under what circumstances can the articles be altered?

14.Explain the instruments relating to several distinct matters under the Indian Stamp Act 1899.

15.State the effects of registration and non-registration of document.

16.What are the documents of which registration is compulsory?

17.What period is excluded while computing the period of limitations?
