1. Draw the line diagram of the common form of data highway with distributed mi-
croprocessor based digital control system. [16]
2. Enumerate the various features of distributed computer control systems. [16]
3. Draw a block diagram and explain the model based double iterative strategy in the
on line optimization of an industrial process through hierarchical control. [16]
4. Explain the environmental and behavior models of a real time system. How do you
separate them? [16]
5. Explain ‘multi level interpreter’ system in the Anderson and Lee model for relia-
bility of mixed hardware and software systems. [16]
6. Describe object based system for Knowledge representation. How is it most suitable
for model based techniques of process control. [16]
7. A wishes to transmit data to B. The data transfer can be effected only when the
transmit signal of A is synchronized with the receive signal of B. Explain the use
of ‘Rendezvous ’ in this problem. [16]
8. Explain the following draw backs in distributed data base:
(a) Increased communication cost
(b) Increased software development and
