Answer any FIVE questions.
All questions carry equal marks.
1. Give a note on circular letters.
2. What do you know about the offer and quotation?
3. What are the hints for drafting letters relating to ‘Enquiry and Reply’?
4. What are the different methods of collecting overdue account?
5. Write a reply to letter complaining of delay in delivering of goods.
6. Draft a letter to Canara Bank enquiring about
‘any where’ Banking Facility.
7. What are the features of a Press Report?
8. A customer has not paid his dues inspite of several reminders to him. Write a letter to him threatening to file a suite in court, if he fails to pay dues with in a month of receipt of this letter.
PART B — (4 * 15 = 60 marks)
Answer any FOUR questions.
All questions carry equal marks.
9. Draft a report of a Committee appointed by New India Stores Ltd., to enquire into the causes of decline in business.
10. What are the classification of report? Explain in detail.
11. Write a letter complaining of shortage of goods and submitting a claim.
12. You have received an order from Dress land, Chennai for different varieties of children dresses. Write a reply giving the time and mode of shipment.
13. With reference to an advertisement in ‘The Hindu’ write a letter to Tirunelveli vessels and Co., enquiring the price, terms of Sales etc.
14. Draft an application letter for the post of marketing executive in a third generation Bank.
