Note: Total Number of questions to be answered is Five. Question no. 1 is compulsory.Attempt one question fom each unit.Each question of the unit carries 7.5 marks.
1.Explain the following in brief: 20 (i) Social causes of French revolution,1789 (ii) Moscow expedition (iii) The Congress of Troppau and Laibach (iv)Disraeli (v) Paris Peace Treaty,1856 (vi) Treaty of Versailles (vii) Russian Revolution,1905 (viii) Franco-Prussian War,1870 (ix) Continental system (x) Balkan Wars,1912-13
UNIT I 2. Evaluate the role of Philosophers in the French Revolution 1789. 3.Discuss consular reforms of Napoleon Bonaparte.
UNIT II 4. Analyze the causes and significance of the French Revolution of 1830. 5. Discuss chief aspects of the foreign policy of Napoleon Third.
UNIT III 6. Write a note on the Greek War of Independence. 7. Discuss the role of Cavour in Italian unification.
UNIT IV 8. Examnine the causes of the Russian Revolution of 1917. 9. Trace the circumstances leading to the outbreak of the First World War.
