1. (a) Indicate whether each of the following statements is true or false. Correct the false statements. (10)
(i) Protein content in the body is about 1/3rd the body weight.
(ii) Deficiency of vitamin C causes scurvy.
(iii) Osteoporosis is the disease of young women.
(iv) In the first year of age, a child increases by 25 cm in height.
(v) Growth spurt occurs during pregnancy as it is the period of rapid growth.
(vi) Calcium requirements Increase considerably during pregnancy.
(vii) Energy requirements are increased during lactation.
(viii) Rice and bread are high protein foods.
(ix) Guava is a rich source of vitamin A.
(x) lf birth weight of the baby is less than 2.5kg, then the baby is said to be Low Birth Weight Baby.
