1. Draw the structure of MIS? Explain its functions? [16]
2. What are the major steps in management process and identify the major informa-
tion needs against each step? [16]
3. “Financial Information System is basically dependent on other information systems
for providing management information for planning and control”. Explain this with
reference to the integration of operating systems with Accounting and Financial
Information Systems. [16]
4. (a) Illustrate by means of a chart how the integration of sub systems through the
information flow in the production/operations system.
(b) Explain what is meant by the economic order quantity and illustrate how a
system can be devised for calculating the EOQ for the different items in the
inventory given the stock holding cost, ordering cost and stock out cost [8+8]
5. What are the different sub-systems of the organizational information system? [16]
6. Discuss the information requirements related to a sub-system in a banking system.

7. What is the importance of training for operational personnel? And here should
particular attention is required in training? [16]
8. “Without the systematic approach of system Analysis and Design development of
MIS can run into problem”. Discuss. [16]
