1. What are the various objectives of watershed development? Explain each in
detail.
2. List various characteristics of watershed and explain each in detail.
3. (a) What are the various factors affecting watershed management.
(b) Explain Hypsometric analysis of basin.
4. Write a short notes:
(i) Gully erosion.
(ii) Stream bank erosion.
(iii) Sheet erosion.
(iv) Geological erosion.
5. How the soil loss due to erosion is estimated? Explain any one method.
6. List the various types of practices to control the soil erosion and describe
contouring in detail.
7. Define land capability and explain the various limitations considered for
capability classification.
8. Discuss in detail people participation and administrative requirements in planning
of watershed management activities.
