1: If the displacement time graph for a particle is parallel to displacement axis, what is the velocity of particle?
2: Define SI unit of force?
3: What determines the direction of motion of an object. Velocity or Acceleration?
4: Explain:
A: Why does a gun recoiled when firing?
B: What happens when you shake a wet piece of cloth?
C: Why some of the leaves may fall from a tree if we shake its branch?
5: A sprinter in a 100m race covers 4m in first second, 30m in next 4s, 52m in another 4s and finishes the race in 10s.
A: Calculate the average velocity of the sprinter.
B: What is the peak velocity attained by the sprinter?
C: During which time interval is the acceleration highest?
D: Show in the graph the velocity of the sprinter at the end of 5s.
6: Two bodies have masses in the ratio 3 : 4. When a force is applied on first body it moves with an acceleration of 6ms. How much acceleration the same force will produce in other body?
7: A farmer move along the boundary of a square field of side 10m in 40s. What will be the magnitude of displacement of the farmer at the end of 2min 20sec?
