3. (a) What do you understand by IEEE standard 802? Explain.
(b) What is network topology? Discuss various types of network topologies along with their respective suitability.
4. What is protocol? Discuss various types of protocol associated with layers of OSi model.
5. Differentiate between the following:
(a) Analog and Digital Transmission. (b) Packet switching and circuit switching.
6. (a) Enumerate the difference between connectionless communication and connection-oriented communication.
(b) Compare Time division and frequency division multiplexing.
7. Differentiate between the following:
(a) Routers and Gateways (b) Baseband and Broadband transmission.
8. Illustrate the following concepts:
(a) Network security (b) Routing Algorithms.
