PART –A
(Conceptual)

I. Answer any 10 of the following in 3-4 sentences each. Each question carries 2 marks: (2x10=20)

a) Write any two reasons for urban and rural migration.
b) Distinguish between birth-rate and death rate.
c) What is meant by minimum support price?
d) What do you mean by occupational distribution?
e) What is E.P.Z.
f) What is meant by rain water harvesting?
g) Mention the different types of irrigation.
h) What do you mean by demonstration effect?
i) What is meant by ancillary industries?
j) Mention any three uses of NASSCOM.
k) What is Gobar gar?
l) Mention different health indicators.

PART-B
(Analytical)

II. Answer any five of the following in 15-20 sentences. Each question carries 5 marks: (5x5=25)

1. Analyze the causes for regional imbalance in India.
2. Write a note on agricultural price policy of India.
3. Write a on various poverty alleviation programes in India.
4. Briefly explain the measures to reduce un-employment.
5. Explain the role of NASBARD in agricultural fiancé.
6. Distinguish between BPO’s and KPO’s.
7. Write a note on Engineering industry.

PART-C
(Descriptive)

III. Answer any three of the following not exceeding 4 pages each: Each question carries 15 marks: (3 x 15=45)

1. Describe the characteristic features of India economy.
2. Examine the causes for low agricultural productivity and suggest measures to solve them.
3. Examine the trends in population growth and discuss about the suitable measures to control growth of population.
4. Describe the problems of small scale industries and explain the measures for its development.
5. Examine the various problems of public sector enterprises in India.
