2. What is the advantage of SSBSC
modulation over AM?
3. Differentiate phase modulation and frequency modulation.
4. Draw the block diagram of PLL.
5. What is white noise?
6. Define noise figure of a communication system.

in FM systems?
9. Define entropy for a discrete memory less source.
10. State channel coding theorem.

explain the principle of operation.

FM
signal with a neat diagram.

(ii) Give the advantage and disadvantage of channel coding in detail. (6)

(ii) Derive the channel capacity theorem. (7)
(iii) Discuss the implication of the information capacity theorem. (6)
