PART – A (10 x 2 = 20 marks)
1. Write the unit operations involved in semichroming of E.I. skins.
2. What are the main reasons for rechroming?
3. Distinguish between basification and neutralization.
4. Mention your strategy for differentiating an acid dye from direct dye.
5. What is meant by bronziness?
6. Write the class of sytan avoided for pollution reduction but recommended for automotive upholstery leather.
7. Distinguish the sulfited fatliquor from sulfonated one.
8. What is meant by moisture blush?
9. Contrast protein finish Vs resin finish.
10. Mention two formaldehyde-free fixing agents for protein finish.
