The difference between Bcom and Bcom (hon) is that the education level is higher in Bcom (hon). The syllabus is more detailed and advanced. Certain colleges providing Bcom (hon) include Indian and Foreign texts to keep students at par with international level. Morever the students get specialization in a subject in the final year. In certain subjects there are even two compulsory texts, the indian and a foreign text and selected topics from each, other than the reference books added to them.
In a normal Bcom course its easy to get guides and notes but when it comes to Bcom (hon) you need to refer to different books and do your own work.
In many colleges Bcom (hon) has 6 subjects with all compulsory whereas in normal Bcom only 4-5 are compulsory
As for what subjects you should select it depends on your interest and which subject you think will be beneficial for you in terms of marks and demand in market
