Microwaves are electromagnetic waves with wave lengths ranging from lambda=1 mm to 1 m, that are frequencies between f=300 MHz and 300 GHz.

Microwave are electromagnetic waves. They are arranged in between that of infrared wave and radio wave. So they have frequency range between that of infrared rays and radio wave. They have a frequency ranging between that of 300 Mega hertz and 300 Giga hertz. Microwave has wide applications. They are used in wifi, bluetooth, microwave owen etc.
