TCS recruitment process

i heard that TCS came for recruitment in jntu-k university.
and they selected a mech. student whose avg. is above 75% WITHOUT EVEN A WRITTEN TEST JUST BY SEEING THE AVERAGE. is it true? please explain me in detail about the recruitment process which took place there

Dear friend,

During 2010- 2011 period Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is expected to recruit 30,000 engineers of which 75-80 % will be for freshers, so what you heard may be true. The point to be noted that is, this is the great chance for freshers getting a job in reputed company very easily.

There are two modes of recruitment TCS follows,

1) Campus recruitment

If your college is in tie-up with TCS , then this mode of recruitment is better for you. Contact the placement cell in your college and bring the login ID and password. Then go through TCS website and follow the recruitment procedure. To clear your doubts mail to ilp.support@tcs.com or call to 1800-22-01-00

2) Direct application

The criteria for direct application is 60% marks in 10th, 12th and in under graduate or PG courses in addition to this candidate should not have more than two year gap in academic career.

Recruitment procedure:

First phase : On line or written aptitude test.
Second phase: Technical Interview.
Third phase : Management & HR interview.

Hi,

TCS is a leading Indian IT industry . Most of the recruitment done through campus placements ,where you can find lot of opportunities . Their are number of vacancies in engineering sector than non - engineering sector.

For a fresher (off campus)
a) Min 60% in class 10th,12th,graduation.
b) Less than 2 years gap in their academic year.

For campus placements min average will be announced before.
interview process :-
A) Aptitude section
1. Verbal reasoning
2. Quantitative aptitude
3. Critical reasoning
B) Psychometric test (which relates to personality and behavior )
C) Technical interview
D) HR interview

Percentage of marks is important but it is important only for the entry level . Once the interview starts it totally depends on your knowledge and how you present yourself . For every campus written test is compulsory.
