Dear questioner,
There is no preference or better choice for Family planning among which partner should go for it. It can be done by either male or female and this depends on the partners concerned. You need to discuss the pros and cons of each contraceptive method and then decide who should go for it.
If you and your partner are married and have children then either of you can go for surgical treatments or if you haven't had any children you simply can use condoms as you might not want to take risk by inserting Copper T's or Intra Uterine Devices(IUD's) and temporarily block the fallopian tubes. Pills, IUD's and other contraceptive measures in women usually cause hormonal fluctuations and if she hasn't had prior full term pregnancies and children, I will not suggest any thing.
Instead safely use condoms. They are great way to prevent pregnancies without any risks. Follow directions of the package and use them correctly.

Dear questioner, Our indian system of medicine is very strong and has so many devices and techniques to decide which contraception is best for couple. I firmly suggest operation is the best and chance free surgery for males.Reason first is unawareness in indian families. lack of proper sex education leads to thousands of unwanted pregnancies and abortions.Active partner is Male itself.so why not to opt the perfect soloution for the act person.
Second If we see sideeffects of the operation, for men is less. Women may get problems with menstural history such as frequent backaches, headaches, Excessive discharge etc.i believe women is the pillar of family & she deserves healthy growth for the family.
There are pills, IUCD, Condoms available but they are chance taking temporary methods.( May be or May not be) So i recommend permanent soloution is operation for male would be the best option to control family planning.

Hello, there is no need to think about it, because there is no other option. Condoms and other thing can be used for a period specific, it is not possible to use over a period of life. It is better for a male to go for operation. Familiy planning is good for our family, our children and our nation.

Family planning is a very good thought. In fact in villages government gives incentives for getting a family operation done.
Definitely it is advisable for the Male partner to have this operation for three reasons:
1)The operation is easier and the person can start working from the very next day.New techniques have emerged where a person can have vasectomy without any stitches.
2)The side effect are very less, and the operation is thus risk-free to some extent.
3)When women can take the pain of pregnancy, it becomes a social responsibility for the male character to come forward in such situations.
