What is the basic qualification of lecturer job?

I have done B.sc (Math) and Post graduate diploma in software technology management. I have one year experience in IT field. Am i eligible for Lecturer job in India or do i need to have Master degree for lecturer position.

Hi Sudha,
The minimum qualification for a Govt. Lecturer post is 55% of marks in Post-Graduation, but in private sector it is 60% with First class is compulsory in post-graduation for Arts and Sciences.

For Lectureship the University Grand Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET).The NET qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of lecturer in all Indian universities/Institutes/colleges. The minimum qualification for appearing NET Test is 55% of marks in Post-Graduation. For more details see the following link
