I don't think so there is any software that can really retain the quality when you increase the size of the image or zoom a particular part of an image.
Photoshop and other softwares have their limitations when it comes to editing a photo. You can only increase the brightness, contrast etc, or change the look and feel of the image with these kind of phot editing softwares.
These softwares can help you to zoom a particular part of an image but you have to compramise on the quality. Even if you have a good quality picture to edit, you cannot retain same quality after zooming the picture as a whole or a part of it.

Hi friend,
Zooming a picture without losing quality is not possible until now. Try taking the picture with a camera comprising more megapixels, so that when you zoom, you can get a considerable size of the oject.
There are no such softwares available for your requirement as far as I know.

You can use Adobe Photo-shop CS4 for this purpose. The portable version is also available in the market. You should need not to install it on your system.
You can use this software directly without installation on your system. This is good software and not very much costly for personal use.

For a common man use there comes a version of Adobe photoshop called "Photoshop elements" try it and latest version is 8 i think.
You can also try GIMP. It is Freeware

Hi,
There are software's but with some limitation withheld them. The best solution is try to change your zooming lenses of the camera and just try to capture images in highest resolution possible and highest quality setting. Then you can use photoshop in advance editing mode and zoom certain portion of image without pixelating.
Learn photoshop perfectly and learn to use special tools and filters.

For a good user friendly and quality photo editing, give Adobe Photoshop (any version you find comfortable will do, preferably post Photoshop 7). This editor has features with advanced versatility and flexibility. Good for retouch, publishing besides scores of others. Ulead Photo Editor is also a good option for enhanced and added attraction to photos. And Picasa a free ware of Google is also a good software.

Hi Lobo,
As per you question, there are many number of solutions are there.
Zooming can be done without changing the resolution and pixel; if your picture quality and resolution is high then your zooming area will be visible clearly.
Picasa, photoshop can give better zooming results and neat-image can rectify and reduce the noise and grain of images.

As i do jobs in graphics designing I prefer for you to do photoshop,or GIMP. In photoshop as this is a pixel based software your picture or file must be of good resolution one. if you want to increase the clearity of your photo try playing with the levels and curve and also with hue saturation tools of this software,nnd i hope it will help you a little bid to your needs.
photoshop is everything, you can do anything possible ,many of the big posters you see in big malls,banner are all created in photoshop.

My friend there is not any software yet which is able to zoom without pixelating it.The images will go to pixelate if you zoom it.But in this field picasa software gives better results to you.Adobe Photoshop is another option after it.
Irfan view is the best software for zooming a particular image.It gives best results for zooming image.

The question you have asked is a good one but before answering this i want to tell you some thing about pictures and drawings.
There are 2 types of pictures and drawings:-
1) Bit map images
2) Vector images
Bit map images are the pictures which are made up of pixels.
Vector images are the pictures which are made up of curves.
Adobe Photoshop is the best software for bitmap image editing.
And Corel Draw is best for vector images.
If you are dealing with vector images then you can zoom to any extend the picture will not pixelate but it is not possible in bit map images.

Zooming without pixelation is only possible if you have image of very high quality. As a matter of fact zooming will lead to pixelation at some point. If you have a 3D image, then you will be able to zoom it to great extent.
You can use Picasa or Photoshop for good results. Photoshop is the most powerful photo editing software it will give you the result you want.
