India has a very large population and to give admissions to all these candidates is virtually impossible given that there is no selection criteria. As a result many competitive exams have emerged to screen candidates into professional courses. Many such popular exams are iitjee, aieee, nda, cat, aiims and afmc. Lakhs of candidates apply every year to such and only a handful are selected. To emerge successful is a daunting task. Tips and tricks It would be very advisable to join a coaching centre for the preparation of exams because of the following reasons - 1. It would give you an opportunity to test yourself with other candidates. 2. You would readily have at one go all the study materials for success. They contain tips, questions and information on effective time management during the exams. 3. You have ready help at hand. All your doubts can be cleared. 4. You become much more aware of the exam and its challenges and its requisites. Secondly, you should prepare the portions of the syllabus in a planned way. You should not leave any portion and prepare all questions possible. Anything which helps you study well should be practiced whether it be group study listening to music etc. Solving the questions yourselves will give you enough guts to face the exams. I also observed that every entrance exams repeats a particular set of tricky questions every year. Say if you are preparing for engineering entrance go through all papers available -state entrance, national entrance and deemed university's entrance papers. Some questions will be there for sure. Thirdly, some foods are good for your brain like fish because they contain omega-3 fatty acids. Nuts like almond and cashews are found to show a fantastic effect on memory. You should also consider studying at those intervals when your concentration levels are at their peak.
