After B.tech you can join Indian Army through Service selection board Technical course entry in the Indian army. You can join Indian army is as Engineering graduates.
To get job in Indian Army the age for candidates should have 19-29 years
Candidate should have minimum qualification B.E or B.tech in engineering for applying the post engineering graduates jobs in Indian army.
Pay scale for the post of Engineering graduate is PB-3 15600-39100 grade pay Rs 5400 plus Msp Rs.6000
Minimum height for the candidates is 157.5cm. Candidates eye sight good is 6/6 and bad at least 6/18 is required while joining the Indian army.
Procedure of section in Indian Army
Only shortlisted candidates shall be invited for participates in the interview at selected service selection board centre. Candidates have to go through there in Psychological test, group discussion and personal interview. After completion of these test merit list we declared. Successful candidates get offer letter from India army though mail at their home address.

Army from very long time hires technical background people. B.tech students can aplly through exams like CDS or Technical entry scheme. Although all people give CDS weather they technical or non technical background but UES (university entry scheme) is only for technical scheme. Yes you can apply for defence services(not only army) in your final year.
The details about the form and eligiblity can be taken from web site of indian army. There is some minimum percentage criteria for techinical scheme.
