to the best of my knowledge contract experience counts so your hard work or say experience will not go to waste. Regarding job you can apply for the permanent job if there comes posting in your industry (for govt.). also pvt firm will accept you if you go for the same profile area in their industry, bt possible you have to compramise a little with payment at initials.

Instead for going for a contract job for long term better apply for govt.or private jobs.Based on ur experience u can try at BHARAT ELECTRONICS LIMITED,HAL,BHEL,etc.,U should get settled in any of the company.
There are only few govt.job in west bengal.But u can't be assured 100% that u will get there only.U can try as a mechanical engineer in west bengal,try it.show ur talent.U should start preparing for aptitude and interview questions right now.

Contract job paved the way for getting another better job based on past experience. Don't get hurt and carry on until getting permanent job. Every desire can't be fulfilled in twinkling of eyes. It takes bit time to go through. You should be thankful to God for having even job.Look at countless jobless people. You are lot better than million people. Of course your lust for getting permanent job is natural phenomenon. Keep trying for it. Don't stay at current job permanently. Try to learn hard from current job and keep striving exploring the market based on current experience. better job.

Today getting job is very difficult and you may stick to this job.Also there are very less no. of jobs which has chances of getting permanent.So hard work is very important in any of the job.You may keep on eye for more job opportunities for further growth.It is ok to remain in this job but keep looking for more prosperous opportunities.
