Hello i am karthik. I am from Tamil nadu, Chennai. I am currently doing AAIP (Arena Animation International Program) diploma at arena animation. I would like to know whether this BPP (Bachelor Preparatory Program) from IGNOU is valuable, I am going to apply for B.A in animation and vfx (Visual effects) and they said that BPP certificate is a must for non 12th students.
After completion of B.A, Can i apply for M.F.A in Animation at universities like new york film academy, Calarts, savannah college of arts with this BPP instead of HSC certificate?
And also i would like to know whether i can apply for B.A in animation and vfx (visual effects) with this AAIP (Arena Animation International Program) diploma which is provided by Aptech?

Hi,
BPP is an intermediate course offered by IGNOU for students who for some reason have not appeared for their 10+2. Since it is neither a full time nor a distance education it has little to no value in the outside world (Both Academically and in MNCs). It is only recognized by IGNOU for candidates who wants to pursue their graduation from there. Even after you complete your graduation no NAAC approved MFA college will entertain such candidates as their graduation is only equivalent to a 10+3 Diploma. Same is the scenario with the corporate world. Even after you complete your graduation you will still fall in the under graduate bucket.
So my advice my friend is while you are pursuing your BA in animation and VFX from IGNOU also do a BCOM or some other basic graduation course. Then your education will be 10+3+3 which is higher than graduation and you will be considered a graduate after that.
Hope this helps
