If you have interest in developing Android applications then you should pursue training in android platform. Android developer salary depends upon two things one is knowledge of Android platform and second is experience, optimum combination of these two will fetch enough money. But be assured there are endless opportunities in android development if you have the desire to learn and create new android applications. Android development isn't a field where you have to stick to normal repetitive task there is always a demand to create new applications to cater the need of users. As a part time job you can create your own android applications and submit it Google Play store for users to download against minimum charge of $1, you can also show google adsense ads in your android apps which is another source of revenue. Other option is to register on freelancer sites where you can create android application for users with special requirement.
There is no need to go any city for learning android development, you can learn it at your home. Just buy a good on Android Application Development (there are lots books available on Android development but I prefer Android Application Development by Wei-Meng Lee), also subscribe few good youtube channel who provide good tutorial on android development.

I suggest utilizing an opportunity in the android platform is a good one, but at the same time you have to understand the risk associated with it, since the android platform is in use in India very recently unlikely google platform. As I understood, you already got an opportunity to work with Infosys in 2013, I suggest to use that opportunity to start your career after your btech in Electronics and then try to go for part time job in android platform if possible. For the time being you may learn android platform work for your further association to the work levelers.

Android platform is a good option to select,you pursue as a well job as a programmer and a application designer. If you submit an application on the website of nokia ovi, or google play website your application may selected as a core application of that company.
