A postgraduate qualification has become important for engineers. M.Tech is a investment in your career, your position will be fixed firmly in the organization and also help to get higher position. M.Techs are demanded by many government organizations and research bodies, as they know these people are more resourceful than the normal B.Techs.

There are many job options for M.Tech like Network Planning Engineer, Service Engineer, Field Test Engineer, Technical Director, Senior Sales Manager, Software Engineer, Electronics and Communication Consultant, Research and Development Engineer, Customer Support Engineer.

Here are some of the companies which may help you to find a good job:
a)NIT Karnataka
b)IBM India Pvt. Ltd
c)NIT Rourkela
d)CITI – Global Risk Technology Group
e)NIT Hamirpur
f)R & D Engineer
g)VAMNICOM

If you want to work as a Professor, you can even switch to teaching field in any of the engineering colleges. But for that you have to pass the NET(National Eligibility Test) Exam.

Both Lectureship and doing job in Industry are best available options for a professional course pursuing candidate. Choosing one among these two is not an easy task for anyone.
Well after completion of M Tech the post graduation course in Engineering a candidate can choose the teaching profession. For the purpose of teaching in government educational institutions situated across the nation, as a lecturer and assistant professor the candidate needs to get qualified in UGC NET examination. The UGC NET entrance examination will be conducted 2 times in a year by UGC and the candidate has to score a minimum of 55 percent marks in their respected masters degree course(50 percent for SC/ST and PWD)candidates. Students in their final year of Post graduation courses are also eligible for applying. An individual who are pursuing M Tech by selecting teaching field can be provided with a wonderful opportunity of molding future engineers through teaching them. During the joining an individual can get a lecturer job but as the seniority and experience increases one can even get the post of Principal.
Majority of engineers are choosing to do a job in industry after the completion of their B Tech degrees. Well even an M Tech graduate can get job in industry but may fails to mingle with B Tech graduates due to the problem of highly qualified.

Firstly complete the M tech degree and as you likes the field of teaching make it as your carrier as serving in industry may fail to earn good name but serving as lecturer surely earns good name.
