The author should totally focus on his studies and try to secure as high rank as possible preferably within top 5 of the college/university. This will help in securing admission in foreign universities. Certain foreign universities require 16 years of studies (i.e.10+2+4 years) for admission in post graduate courses. Also GRE will have to be passed with high scores for admission in reputed universities in US. All subjects have very good career prospects for outstanding and hard working students.

Universities from United States of America and Australia have a lot of scope for the zoologist. There are different types of the research position open for the graduate trainee. There are also some of the companies working for the specific research related to animal diseases and the animal care. For such research the travelling work or on-site work for the zoologist is possible. Most of the work in this field is related to the fieldwork. I'd say consult with the some of the universities abroad and then decide what you want in your life.

Hi,
Since you have moved ahead, do not feel bad about failure in medical field.
There is a lot to do with Zoology.
You have below mentioned options-
1. Go for post graduation from foreign universities. They have one year post graduation programme and then job placements with some time bound bond.

2. You can pursue your Post graduation here in India as there are many good institutes for the same. After Post graduation, you can give a try for some research based positions in foreign universities.
For that, you need to find details about ongoing research programs and vacancies for the same. Find the details and write a mail to respective principle Investigator about your interest in his or her project. If he or she will find your qualification suitable, he will invite you for the same.

3. You can register yourself for PhD degree in India and move to other countries through exchange programmes. There are lots of government funded programmes for the same.
But for that, you must have out standing records academically and should have unique topic for research.
