There are basically 4 types of computers. They are:
1) Micro Computers : All the desktops, laptops, mobiles come under this category. These are the normal computers. These are generally support only a single user environment.
2) Mini Computers : Small businesses, firms use these. These occupy small space and perform faster than micro computers. Multi User environment is supported.
3) Mainframe Computers : These are used by big institutions and these occupy large space but perform better than micro computers and mini computers. These also support multi-user environment.
4) Super Computers : These occupy very large area sometimes an entire building but perform very fast when compared to the above three types of computers. These are used mainly for research etc,. by institutions like NASA. Currently, the most powerful super computer in the world is located in China.
