Section A & B of associate membership course conducted by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (India), Mumbai is recognised as equivalent to Degree in Mechanical Engineering by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Government of India), Department of Higher Education.
Choosing between M.Tech. and MBA, depends primarily on the aptitude of the student. It may be noted that survival and success in career depends on the capability acquired by the candidates. Merely possessing degrees are not of much help. Therefore it is important that whatever field is chosen depending on the likings and preferences, hard work should be done to acquire capability.

The degree offered by Institute of Mechanical Engineers is approved by AICTE. You can use the certification to take further education such as MBA, Mtech etc. You can also use that degree to get the job. There should be no educational institute that should restrict you from taking the further education. So you should be focusing on the skills acquired instead of worrying about the validity of degree.

AMIR, IME, IETS are recognized body and can be used for obtaining the valid degree.

IME ( India) is valid degree approved by AICTE and the course contains section A and Section B. Upon completion of the same, you may go ahead for higher degrees such as M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or even can take up jobs related to Mechanical - engineering field.
The course was designed to help the students to acquire a degree equivalent to B. Sc( Engg) with their own efforts even by clearing the papers instalment - wise.
The course is a boon to the students belonging to the weaker section of the families having financial hardship but at the same time, they are equally proficient in their studies to take up a higher technical - degree.
