The seeds of the pomegranates vary from fruit to fruit depending upon its size. On an average, there are around 613 seeds in a pomegranate. It is proved that most of the pomegranates when examined contained 613 seeds.
Also the minimum seed found was 165 and this may range to about more than 1000 seeds too.

The number of seeds in a single fruit of Pomegranate is not fixed. It varies depending upon the size and variety of fruit.
It is obvious that small the fruit, lesser will be the seed shells.

The amount of seeds depends on the size of the fruit. Small size contain as low as 200 and as big as 700 seeds in it. Some bigger size fruit contains around 500 -1000 seeds.
The size decides the amount of seeds that it contains. So each fruit will have the different seeds in it. Some of the artificially breed flavor of the fruit has bigger size with seed contains less in number.
