You should ask your parents to let you become a cricketer with calm mind. Tell them that you like cricket very much and want to take the cricket as carrier. But, If your parents are still refusing, then don't go against them. If you will go against them, it will hurt them. You should respect their decision.

I don't think their is any exact way to be a cricketer against parent's wish.you just keep on pursuing to your parents. If at the end of the day they understand your point of view then only you can continue your career as cricketer. wish you all the best .Hope you will succeed to be a cricketer.

Hi Deep Katira,
First, my wishes for you to become a good cricketer.
I dont see a reason for your parents not wishing you to become a cricketer, especially if its so much popular and has lots of potential.
If they are restricting you, then there should be some reason which makes them to worry. Really worry about you and the game. So, just sit with them and talk about the possible reasons for their restriction. Talk freely and frankly, and be open in your and make your parents opinion open as well.
BUT IMPORTANTLY, DONT SIT FOR THE TALK WITH A CLOSED MIND. Meaning that you want to make them accept your request. The talk should discuss both of you and your parents problem.
If your parent shoots questions and concerns, think about it and PROVIDE THEM THE SOLUTION FOR IT, before just blindly defending it. If your parent are concerned about your STUDIES, then you'll have to that extra concern and hard work on it, so you can succeed it both STUDIES and CRICKET.
You'll have to accept that ALL THE PARENTS ARE LIKE SACHIN's PARENTS. They allowed him to play cricket at the cost of his studies, BUT THE POINT IS HE SUCCEEDED.
Your parent might think that if you leave studies and also couldnt perform well in cricket (DONT TAKE THIS SENSITIVELY, It happens. There is alot of politics involved in cricket as well, as you know), then???? That comes to parent's mind. Its your life.
BOTTOM-LINE: Think first about the reasons, restrictions... Plan it out. Then talk with your parents. Discuss on the problems. Provide them the solutions (WORKING OR WORKABLE SOLUTIONS). Make them satisfied. Enjoy your life (CRICKET as well).
Thanks, Dinesh

Hi,
My advice is ,do not go for the BIG Picture straight away.
Before going to your parents, you have to analyze your own capabilities like "How good are you in Cricket" , " How much interested and dedicated are you in this game?"
Obviously your parents wouldn't have restricted you to play cricket in the gullies. Test your abilities there, see how good your performance.Play for your school/college team.
If you think your good in the game then discuss the matter with you parents. DO NOT say "I want to become a cricketer". Just ask permission for going to the selections of district level team. Just for the permission they might not say anything. If you are really good, you will get selected.
Then you will have a Sports category reservation in Education. That should release your parents tension a little and allow you for the future matches.Grow step by step to reach your goal.
Hope to see you live onscreen someday.
Hope this helps...

Hai, Don't worry that your parents were against you in this issue. If you were about to face any board exams means you can better finish your exams successfully and try to achieve your aim. After satisfying your parents you can talk with them about your wish and assure them that "Sure I will win in my goal".
But if you are taking decision against your parents means it may cause misunderstanding among you. So get their full hearted wish and travel towards your aim. All the best.
