avoid the major use of preservative food It cause many problems but it is difficult to identify. The harmful pestcides are sometime used as preservatives. All packed food contains artificial preservatives. There is some natural preservatives that can be used. it will last for a limited period. The product which is exist for longer days contains harmful preservatives.

Preservatives are very much required ingredients for long storage of edibles.
These preservatives can be good or harmful depending upon their nature.
You cannot avoid avoid these preservatives completely but can limit their intake by avoiding commercially available/packed available edibles.
You can use home made products, because most of them have natural preservatives like salt and oil, which are not harmful or less harmful.
If you want to avoid them completely, you can prepare things at home in lesser quantity so that can be consumed in limited time. In that case, you will not need to store them for longer.
In some places, ladies provide services of preparing pickles, sauce, papad, jam, etc on order. From there also you can get things without preservatives.

The type of chemicals are dependent on the type of food you want to preserve.
For example, fries and chips have ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbate. And in case of sulfur dioxide and sulfites are often used in Pepsi, Wine and similar liquid.
There are also some regulations and the rules made for the preservatives to be used. So you can't use the preservatives not approved by the standard committees.
Depending on the type of food you want to preserve, you have to take guidance from FSAI and other similar preservation guidelines comity for the same.
