Here is my response to your queries:
Is HR interview same like other interviews?
No. The focus of the HR interview is to evaluate whether you have a positive attitude, your ethics and values, will you be able to align with the organizational goals, imbibe organizational values, settle down comfortably, deliver as per expectations and contribute to the organizational goals. The other interviews have specific different objectives.
What all questions can I expect in the interview?
The questions move around the following areas: family background, about yourself, why want to join the company, strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes, your future plan, where do you see yourself ten years from now, hobbies, why should we take you, will you relocate if asked etc.

As the interview is for selecting HR personnel, the questions you can expect include the method to analyse your skills in the fields of problem solving, managing communication with people, attitude towards people and organization, etc. You may be asked for your response on a particular issue you may face, or how you solve a given situation.
Apart from this, the common questions you can expect in an interview are:
•Tell about yourself
•How did you came to know about the position
•What do you know about the company
•Why should we hire you
•Your achievements and weaknesses
•Where do you see yourself after specific time gap
•Your expected pay scale
Along with this you may be also asked some brainteasers, your opinions and any questions you have for them.
Attached file is a PDF file which include the most common questions asked in an interview. It also includes how to tackle these questions. But remember that it is not to be byhearted, but to be adopted. Best Wishes..

HR interview is somewhat different from the formal interviews. Here the main thrust area of the Interviewer is to assess your personality in terms of dress, way of conversation, your intellectual capabilities and the way how you can converse freely before the Board of Interview.
You may be exposed to question like- Tell about yourself. The answer provided by you would reflect your mental - level. In this context, you must signify your merit and must highlight any reward conferred to you for your distinguished contributions. Mention all your positive perquisties. If possible, this must be supported by some evidence/ certificate issued by authorised authorities.
The next question may be why you should be hired in the present company. Here also, you have to show your capability and strength justifying your inclusion in the company.
Then they would like to know your area of weakness and your expectation of salary on joining the company. You must satisfy the Board of Interview with your prudence.
Be prepared for these ticklish questions and offer them impressive answer. At all the costs, you have to be courteous and throughout the Interview patience should be maintained.

Depending on the type of position and the level of expertise that HR has got you'll be asked different question. You have to understand that you need to answer the question in open ended way.
Here are some questions for you to check.
1. Tell me about yourself?
2. Why do you want this job?
3. Why our company?
4. How much you're comfortable with X technology? (replace X with the skill)
5. How much experience do you have in working with X?
These are the sort of questions that are likely to be asked to you. So you have to prepare accordingly and answer them. Remember open ended answer and optimistic approach.
