Medical, legal, chartered accountancy and such other professional courses are best suited for females as in the case of males also. Such competent professionals earn respect of society also. Through diligent hard work in studies any one can succeed in such comparatively tougher career options. The other comparatively safer career options for females are to crack civil services examination to qualify for services like IAS and IPS etc. besides other group A services in Central Government organizations. State civil services and banking sector are next better options. Teaching and research scientists positions are also better for females depending upon their orientation and preferences.

If you're interested in IT industry then Human resource and recruitment can be a good option. Those jobs are usually during the day time and you don't have to do overtime for them unless there is massive recruitment drive for campus. Also if the cold calling and the offshore recruitment jobs exists then you can skip them.
Another type of job that you can try is the accountant. For most of the time the accountants are required in almost every company. Not much of work pressure and also safe in terms of the workplace. You can also do your own practice and work with other people.
You can also get into the Medical profession. This profession is in need of serious people regardless of gender. It is most respected profession because you save lives. Also it may be too much burden on your mind and body sometimes. But this is definitely something you should consider for career.
There are many other jobs. Make sure you avoid work that involves night shift. As those are risky jobs and also not good for health regardless of your gender.

We can't identify and categorise the course of study as a dignified one and best suits to female gender. It is after all the interest generated by an individual that makes him/her fascinated towards a profession and make a dignified living.
The most preferable job or very often preferred job is the teaching profession and thus B Ed training course after Graduation is the one much sought after. B Sc Home Science, Engineering and Medical Courses, graduation in Law and MBA have become female dominant as the job potential is more after completion of the course and fall under low risk zone for girls. These courses give much social; elevation and high perk when they prove their metal. Apart from these, many people prefer and try hard to get settled in Civil Services or in Banking sector to get high profiled posts.
Speaking in terms of an ordinary and average girl student, I suggest to opt for B Ed or try for a job in Banking sector, LIC or any other PSUs.
