The job which you can secure due to your own effort is the best job. It is said that one bird in hand is better than two in the bush. The group A job is better than group B or C job only when it can be achieved. Otherwise group B or even group C job is better than remaining unemployed. Bank PO is definitely an outstanding job and opens door for bright career in future. However it is always advisable to keep other alternate options open and simultaneously try for more than one job,. Preparation for tougher job ensures preparation for number two and number three jobs also.

Bank Probationary Officers' Examination is an examination which is meant to select the Grade A officers in SBI or other nationalised banks. The post is an entry level in officers' cadre in Banks and chances of growth in career are bright as the initial appointment itself is Asst. Manager.
Combined Graduate Level examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission would be meant to select Group B and C level job under Central Government. These include Income Tax Inspectors, Central Excise Inspectors, Section Officers (Audit), Auditors, Accountants, UDCs and Divisional Accountants. Those who get selected to various posts under these categories have appear for departmental examination for further promotions in the hierarchy and to get elevated as Officers.
So, definitely a PO job is far better than the one mentioned above but there are instances where some people shifted from PO to the job of IT Inspector or an Auditor. After all, one has develop some interest in his own job and should be confident of overcoming the job stress.
