Post graduation course means higher studies after completion of graduation level studies. It may be a masters degree program or even beyond that i.e. doctoral programs. For pursuing post graduation courses, completion of graduation level programs is required. Post graduation programs cannot be opted for after completing a diploma program though after completion of graduation programs, a post graduate diploma course can be completed. The management program offered by IIM's to graduate students is a quintessential example of post graduate diploma course.

The word 'Post-Graduation' clearly implies that this is to be done only after the Graduation. So, if your target is to pursue Post-Graduation in a particular stream, you have to complete Graduation generally in the same stream.

No, you cannot do post Graduation with Diploma course you have to complete Graduation. I'm not sure but I guess you can do PG Diploma but it depends on which field you're choosing.

You have not clearly mentioned your point of doubt. A Diploma is a course which is one after SSC/SSLC or 12th standard while graduation is a course studied for 3 years/ 4 years/5 years (for B Sc/B Tech/MBBS respectively) after 12th standard. Now, your question seeking clarification to do Post Graduation in a particular field seems to be vague and casual. If you want to do Post graduation or PG Diploma in subjects like Management or Journalism, you should be a Graduate in the relevant field. There is no option to study a PG course after pursuing a Diploma.
For example, you have done your Diploma in Civil Engineering, you can go for B Tech in Civil Engineering and can't do your M Tech directly in the field. Be specific about your doubt. Give clear information about your present status of study and the areas of interest to get a proper advice.

You have not indicated the course in which you want to persue for yor post graduation.
Post graduation course is applicable for those who have done at least a three years graduation course, the exception being Engineering - course duration for which is four years and the MBBS course for which the duration is of five years. By acquiring any one of these degree courses, you can go ahead for the Post - graduation course by taking up a particular subject for specialisation. However, there exists a departure in this line. In case of taking up IIM course, you would be rewarded a Post - graduate diploma award even though you have passed a graduation degree earlier.
In the event of passing a diploma course, you need to have a degree first and then only you can take up Post - graduation. An aspirant having a three year diploma in Engineering has to take up the degree in Engineering and later one can persue for Post - graduation course.

All who did post graduation course were aiming for that but for that Graduation degree must be successfully completed.

For getting admission in Post graduation, one need to have first done the graduation degree completed. On the basis of Diploma one can get admission directly in the 2nd year of graduation degree in some of the cases, but in no way can get admission directly to Post graduation on the basis of diploma. So if you are planning to do post graduation in any field, you should first complete your graduation degree. Best of luck for your bright career.
