Commerce as a subject can be studied after 10th standard in the commerce stream. The studies can be further continued at graduation level, post graduation level and research level. However business administration as a subject is not available at +2 level. In nut shell business administration is management of business and commerce is the activity of buying and selling of goods and services. Basic knowledge and understanding of commerce is a perquisite for studying business administration.

There is a lot of difference between Commerce and Business administration.
The very first different lies in their names- Commerce is a subject which can be a part of any related course where as Business Administration is a itself a course.
Commerce can be opted after 10th as specialization if you have interest and then you can continue with the same in your graduation as well as post graduation. The core commerce subject has B.Com and M.Com as graduation and post graduation course options.

Business Administration is a course which teaches about everything related to business. As its name implies, it teaches about how to start business and then how to run it. A better administration gives better future.

Lastly, both of these have specific job options. A commerce guy can join bank but a Business Administration learned guy may not get a job in bank.
