Is it true that the nutmeg, cinnamon and mace are products of same plant/tree?

Date: 21 Feb 2016    Group: Opinion About    Category: Miscellaneous

Nutmeg, cinnamon and mace are important Indian spices. I have heard that all the three spices are products of the same plant/tree. The petals of the fruit are mace, the seed is nutmeg and the bark is cinnamon. Is it true? Also at which place/area, plants/trees of these spices are grown in India.
Awaiting advice from experts.
